Eligible criteria for the Akron Foundation inspection will be bound by the City of Akron, and house inspections and qualified repairs will be concluded by City-approved, licensed, building contractors. Eligible repairs are confined to those which are necessary for improving the health, well-being and safety of the household.

Selection preference will be strictly based on the household’s income, location, and need for emergency repairs.

Akron Arpa Home Repair Eligibility for Requirements

The Akron Foundation Inspection Repair  Program is targeted to senior low-income and households. To qualify :

•You must  Be the owner or occupant of the house, and the house must be located within the city limits of Akron.

• It must meet at least one of the following household income requirements:

Inside of a QCT and have a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Outside of a QCT and have a household income at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

• You must be current on your property taxes, mortgage, state and local income taxes, or be current on an approved payment plan for any troublesome taxes for a minimum of the three prior months.

• Non-eligible applicants for the services through Akron Foundation Inspection include occupants, Renters on a land contract, and owners or occupants of mobile home units for services through this program.
